Bandit had been purchased at a livestock auction for $25 and mistaken for a yearling Mustang instead of a 16 year old Arabian.  He was kept in a mud lot  pig feed.   Bandit was impounded from that home by the Georgia Department of Agriculture as starved and neglected. He was initially kept as a foster for another Georgia rescue.  When he was rehabilitated, he was returned to the rescue for adoption, but they decided he should be euthanized after he exhibited stallion like behavior.  S.O.S. identified that Bandit was a cryptorchid  and funded his castration surgery at UGA.  Bandit is now a well loved, happy and calm old man living in sanctuary.

Bandit is estimated to be 22 years old in 2017
